The nation needs a doctrine to specifically define what the state should exist for and what it should deposit into the people's account for a longer term than an electoral cycle. The plan can be subordinated to the doctrine to ensure continuity of governance, not of party.
The question is whether Bangladesh has the courage to apply the same scrutiny to every class of collaborators past and present, left and right, secular and religious and to build a republic where proximity to power is no longer the country's most valuable currency.
